What is the Playrooms release date on Steam right now?
As of November 2, 2026, the full Playrooms listing is still Coming soon with no calendar date and no price in Steam data. The free Playrooms Demo has been live since October 12, 2026.
Two Pixels scheduled the full Steam release for October 28, 2026 at 7:00 PM CET. That window passed without a launch because Steam’s final review was not finished in time. On October 30 they said review was still incomplete, gave no fixed date, and shared a rough guess only: not before Monday after that post (November 2, 2026), and more likely mid next week. That mid-week line was an estimate, not a promise. Final release day, launch time zone, and price remain not confirmed.

October 12, 2026 — Demo live; Oct 28 launch time announced
Two Pixels opened the trial shift in the Demo and announced October 28, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. (CET) as when your permanent position begins, with other areas locked until the full game. The letter is written in facility HR tone, but the same date and time show up in later patch footers and match the Steam launch slot Two Pixels had planned.
October 28, 2026 — Same-day delay at 7 PM CET
Two Pixels posted on Steam: “Playrooms won’t be releasing today at 7 PM CET.” The game is finished and ready, but Steam’s final review was not complete, so they could not press release. They promised a new date on Steam once approved.
October 30, 2026 — Still no date
Two Pixels said Steam’s review was still not complete, so they could not give a fixed release date. The build is finished and waiting for approval; they had not heard back from Steam yet. They wrote it “definitely won’t happen before Monday” (the Monday after that post: November 2, 2026), and that they expect more around the middle of next week: “just our estimate and not a promise.”
Price on Steam
There is no price on the full game’s Steam page as of November 2, 2026. The listing is not marked free either, so the missing price just means Two Pixels has not published one yet. None of the news posts we read mention a launch price.
The support-only Ballsweeper DLC is also Coming soon with no price.
